3. How long is the cruise?
2024 season our Eco tours are 90 minutes in duration. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 772-489-8344.
4. What is the cruise about?
2024 season our Eco Jungle cruise is a relaxing, informative 90 minute cruise. We share information about the St. Lucie River, Flora and fauna, wildlife and history. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 772-489-8344.
5. Is the cruise appropriate for small children?
Our cruise is a narrated 90 minute cruise. For some children 4 and under it may not be suitable. If a child becomes noisy they may make it difficult for others to hear the narration. Children are required to remain seated for safety reasons. As parents of twins ourselves, we understand all children are different. If your child has a difficult time sitting quietly on your lap for 90 minutes, we are happy to recommend some excellent activities in the area for your younger children to enjoy.
6. What should I bring?
We recommend binoculars, cameras and bottled water.
7. What attire is appropriate?
Wear clothing that would be comfortable similar to dining on a patio at a restaurant. Comfortable shoes: sneakers, sandals, flip flops are acceptable. We do not recommend heels or stilettos (due to slats in the dock).
8. Do I need insect repellent?
The St. Lucie River is a flowing river. While it is possible to have insects around in 'the Jungle' we generally do not have any issues of insect interaction or needing repellent.
9. What type of boat will we be cruising on?
River Lilly is a 36' Trident Pontoon Boat with a covered canopy. The seating is 'bench style'. Seats in front and behind with an aisle down the middle. Seats are padded for the sitting area and back.
10. Are you Wheelchair or handicap accessible?
Yes! We have space for 1 traditional style wheelchair on our cruise. The St. Lucie River is tidal, so the boarding and loading area changes daily. At times we are level with the dock, other times a step (with a handrail) is required. We also have a ramp available for wheelchair access. Handicap parking is available at River Park Marina. Please notify us at the time of booking if any necessary accommodations are needed.
11. Are pets allowed?
We LOVE our pets and would bring them anywhere they are welcome however due to insurance constraints only certified service animals are allowed on board our tours. Please see the following to determine if you have a legally qualifying service animal.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 2010 Regulations define a service animal as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Other species of animals, whether wild or domestic, trained or untrained, are not service animals for the purposes of this definition."
